Yvan Arpa

Yvan Arpa is a atypical Swiss watch designer. He is one of those "crazy professors": not afraid to go off the beaten track, not afraid of controversy and with a briliant sense of style. He suffers from a severe and incurable form of limitless creativity earning him the nickname "doctor Sparklehead".

Hes started his career as a mathematic professor who, after participating in professional martial arts combats in Thailand and crossing Papua New Guinea by foot, came back to his roots in Switzerland.

He made his debut in the watch industry as a key executive for Sector Sports Watches launching the No Limit Concept.

In 1997, he joined the Richemont Group for Baume & Mercier as the Managing Director for Switzerland and Sales Director for Europe and Asia.

From 2002 to 2006 he acted as the Managing Director for Hublot participating in the incredible launch of the Big Bang.

From 2006 to 2009 he was the CEO of Romain Jerome bringing success to the brand with the DNA of Famous Legends concept; controversial watches with rusted steel from the Titanic or real moon dust.

He consulted for several high brands in the watch industry such as Jacob&Co, the MoonDust Collection and continues even today.

In 2009 Yvan Arpa created his own company called Luxury Art Pieces for which he launched the brands Blackbeltwatch and Artya
